CENSORSHIP OF FILMS (No. 1) ORDER, 1925.

CENSORSHIP OF FILMS (No. 1) ORDER, 1925.

WHEREAS by Section 12, Sub-section (1) of the Censorship of Films Act, 1923 (No. 23 of 1923), it is enacted that the Minister for Justice may by order, from time to time, make, and when made vary and revoke regulations for carrying into effect the objects of that Act, and in particular for regulating the conduct of the office of the Official Censor, the making of applications to him, the granting of certificates by him, and the bringing of appeals to the Appeal Board.

AND WHEREAS by Order dated the 20th February, 1924, made in pursuance of the said Section and Sub-section a form of application to the Official Censor for censorship was so prescribed.

AND WHEREAS in view of the Censorship of Films (Amendment) Act, 1925 (No. 21 of 1925), it has been deemed advisable to alter the said form of application.

NOW I, Caoimhghin O h-Uigín, Minister for Justice, by virtue of the powers conferred upon me by Section 12, Sub-section (1), of the Censorship of Films Act, 1923 , do hereby order

(1) That so much of the said Order of the 20th February, 1924, as prescribes the form of application for censorship, that is to say, paragraph 1 and Form A of the said Order, shall be and the same is hereby revoked and that in lieu thereof the form of application to the Official Censor for censorship shall be in accordance with such modification of the Form in the Schedule hereto attached as may be suitable.

(2) This Order may be cited as the Censorship of Films (No. 1) Order, 1925.

Scrúdóir na Scannán will enter the amount of the fee chargeable in accordance with prescribed scale and return the form to applicant who will then have the form stamped in prescribed manner to the required amount and produce it to the Scrúdóir na Scannán. The film and exploitation sheet will then be censored.
