THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT (TEMPORARY PROVISIONS) ACT, 1923 .

MAYO COUNTY SCHEME.

To the Council of the Administrative County of Mayo; to the Mayo County Board of Health; and to all whom it may concern:

WHEREAS by an Order under my Seal of Office bearing date the 10th day of July, 1923, called the Mayo County Scheme Order, 1923, I, the Minister for Local Government and Public Health, in pursuance of section 5 of the Local Government (Temporary Provisions) Act, 1923 (hereinafter referred to as "the Act") did amend and modify the existing County Scheme relating to the County of Mayo as set out in the First Schedule to the Act in such way as to bring it into conformity with the provisions of the scheme set out in the Schedule to the said Order (which said provisions are in the said order and this order referred to as the Mayo County Scheme):

AND WHEREAS the Mayo County Scheme as amended by the Mayo County Scheme (No. 2) Order, 1924, has come into operation, and I, the Minister for Local Government and Public Health, deem it necessary further to amend the said County Scheme in such manner as to make provision for the reception and maintenance of chronic invalids in the County Home provided under the said County Scheme, and did on the tenth day of January, 1925, give to the Council of the Administrative County of Mayo, one month's notice of my intention to make the said amendment and have taken into consideration any representation which has been made to me by the said Council within such month in respect of the said amendment:

NOW THEREFORE I, the Minister for Local Government and Public Health, in exercise of the powers given to me by section 5 of the Act, and of all other powers in this behalf enabling me, the said month having expired, do by this my Order, order and direct as follows, that is to say:—

1. Paragraph (a) of sub-article (i) of article 15 of the Mayo County Scheme shall be amended by the addition of the words "chronic invalids" after the words "aged and infirm persons," where the same occur in the said paragraph.

2. This amendment shall be deemed to have come into operation as from the First day of July, 1923.

3. This Order may be cited as the Mayo County Scheme (No. 3) Order, 1925.

Given under My Seal of Office, this Eighteenth day of March, in the Year of Our Lord, One Thousand Nine Hundred and Twenty-five.
