THE STATISTICS (SEA AND INLAND FISHERIES) TRANSFER ORDER, 1927. | ||
WHEREAS it is enacted by section 2 of the Statistics Act, 1926 , (No. 12 of 1926), that the Minister for Industry and Commerce may collect, compile, abstract and (subject to the provisions of that Act) publish statistics relating to any matter affecting the general economic and other activities and conditions in Saorstat Eireann and in particular (amongst other matters) sea and inland fisheries : | ||
AND WHEREAS it is enacted by sub-section (1) of section 3 of the said Act that the Executive Council may by Order transfer the powers and duties conferred by the said Act on the Minister for Industry and Commerce in relation to any particular class or classes of statistics to any other Minister : | ||
NOW, the Executive Council of Saorstat Eireann, in exercise of the power conferred on them by sub-section (1) of section 3 of the Statistics Act, 1926 (No. 12 of 1926) and of every and any other power them in this behalf enabling, do hereby order as follows :— | ||
1. —This Order may be cited for all purposes as the Statistics (Sea and Inland Fisheries) Transfer Order, 1927. | ||
2. —The Interpretation Act, 1923 (No. 46 of 1923) applies to the interpretation of this Order in like manner as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of the Oireachtas. | ||
3. —The powers and duties conferred by the Statistics Act, 1926 (No. 12 of 1926) on the Minister for Industry and Commerce in relation to sea and inland fisheries (but not including powers or duties relating to the export, import and internal transport of fish, the manufacture of fishery products, or the fish curing trade) are hereby transferred to the Minister for Fisheries. | ||
