PAYMENTS TO INSURANCE COMMITTEES (PERSONS OVER 70) REGULATIONS, 1927.

PAYMENTS TO INSURANCE COMMITTEES (PERSONS OVER 70) REGULATIONS, 1927.

REGULATIONS, dated 11th April, 1927, made by the Irish Insurance Commissioners with the concurrence of the Minister for Local Government and Public Health under the National Health Insurance Acts, 1911 to 1926.

The Irish Insurance Commissioners in exercise of the powers conferred on them by Section 16 of the National Health Insurance Act, 1920, and by paragraph (2) of the Second Schedule to that Act and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf do hereby with the concurrence of the Minister for Local Government and Public Health make the following Regulations:—

1. These Regulations may be cited as the National Health Insurance Payments to Insurance Committees (Persons over 70) Regulations, 1927.

2. For the purpose of determining the amounts to be transferred in any year from the Reserve Suspense Fund to Insurance Committees in respect of the estimated cost (including administration expenses) of sanatorium benefit for insured persons who have attained the age of 70 years before the end of that year, the number of such persons in each of the years 1923 to 1929 (both inclusive) shall be calculated in the manner set forth in the Schedule to these Regulations.

SCHEDULE.

TABLE I.

The number of persons who attained the age of 70 years on or before the 31st December, 1922, and in respect of whom the benefit is to be chargeable during the years 1923 to 1929 shall be assumed to be as follows:—

The number of persons in respect of whom the benefit is to be chargeable during the years 1923 to 1929 for each 1,000 persons who attained the age of 70 years after the 31st December, 1922, and were entitled to the benefit on attaining that age shall be estimated as follows:—
