ORDER CONTINUING IN FORCE THE GAME BIRDS PROTECTION (No. 1) ORDER, 1930, FOR A FURTHER PERIOD OF ONE YEAR.

ORDER CONTINUING IN FORCE THE GAME BIRDS PROTECTION (No. 1) ORDER, 1930, FOR A FURTHER PERIOD OF ONE YEAR.

ORDER BY THE MINISTER FOR JUSTICE.

WHEREAS it is enacted by section 6 of the Game Preservation Act, 1930 (No. 11 of 1930), that, whenever the Minister for Justice is satisfied that any particular species of game bird is in special need of protection in the whole or any portion of Saorstát Eireann, he may by order (in that Act and hereinafter referred to as a Game Birds Protection Order), prohibit for any specified period not exceeding one year from the date of such order, the killing or taking of that particular species of game bird in Saorstát Eireann and that, when a game birds protection order has been made under the said section, the said Minister may from time to time by order (in that section and hereinafter referred to as a continuation order) made before the expiration of such game birds protection order or such continuation order (as the case may be) continue in force such game birds protection order for any period not exceeding one year from the date on which the same would otherwise have expired.

AND WHEREAS the Minister for Justice in exercise of the power conferred on him by the said section 6 of the said Act by a game birds protection order dated the 19th day of September, 1930, prohibited the killing or taking of partridge in Saorstát Eireann for the period of one year from the date of the said order:

AND WHEREAS the Minister for Justice in exercise of the power conferred on him by the said section 6 of the said Act by a continuation order dated the 28th day of July, 1931, continued in force the said game birds protection order for the period of one year from the date on which the same would otherwise have expired:

NOW, I, JAMES GEOGHEGAN, Minister for Justice, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 6 of the Game Preservation Act, 1930 (No. 11 of 1930), and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling do hereby continue in force the said game birds protection order dated the 19th day of September, 1930, for a further period of one year from the date on which the same would otherwise have expired.
