DAIRY PRODUCE (BUTTER LEVY AND BOUNTY RATES) REGULATIONS, 1932. | ||
WHEREAS it is enacted by sections 6 and 7 of the Dairy Produce (Price Stabilisation) Act, 1932 (No. 10 of 1932), that the Minister for Agriculture may make regulations prescribing the general rate and the special rate respectively for the purposes of a levy on butter under that Act; | ||
AND WHEREAS it is enacted by section 30 of the said Act that the Minister for Agriculture may, subject to the provisions of the said section 30, make regulations prescribing the several rates of bounty payable under that Act in respect of different kinds of butter; | ||
AND WHEREAS it is enacted by section 36 of the said Act that the Minister for Agriculture may make regulations prescribing the rates at which bounties are to be paid under that Act in respect of milk products: | ||
NOW, THEREFORE, the Minister for Agriculture in exercise of the powers conferred on him by the Dairy Produce (Price Stabilisation) Act, 1932 (No. 10 of 1932), and of every and any other power him in this behalf enabling, hereby orders as follows:— | ||
1. This Order may be cited for all purposes as the Dairy Produce (Butter Levy and Bounty Rates) Regulations, 1932. | ||
2. The Interpretation Act, 1923 (No. 46 of 1923), applies to the interpretation of these Regulations in like manner as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of the Oireachtas. | ||
3. On and after the 1st day of August, 1932, the following rates shall be the rates of levy on butter, that is to say— | ||
(a) the sum of threepence per hundredweight shall be the general rate; and | ||
(b) the sum of threepence per hundredweight shall be the special rate. | ||
4. On and after the 1st day of August, 1932, the following rates shall be the rates of bounty on butter, that is to say— | ||
(a) the sum of fourpence per hundredweight shall be the general rate on creamery butter; and | ||
(b) the sum of threepence per hundredweight shall be the rate on factory butter; and | ||
(c) the sum of threepence per hundredweight shall be the rate on farm butter. | ||
5. On and after the 1st day of August, 1932, the following rates shall be the rates of bounty on milk products, that is to say:— | ||
(a) the sum of one penny per hundredweight of the butter equivalent of bulk cream; and | ||
(b) the sum of one penny per hundredweight of the butter equivalent of milk products (other than bulk cream). | ||
