THE FOREIGN AND COLONIAL PARCEL POST AMENDMENT

(No. 5) WARRANT, 1934.

DATED 12TH JULY, 1934.

I, the Minister for Finance of the Irish Free State in exercise of all powers vested in me by the Post Office Acts, 1908 to 1920, the Adaptation of Enactments Act, 1922 , the Ministers and Secretaries Act, 1924 , and of all other powers enabling me in this behalf, do, by this Warrant under my hand, made on the representation of the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs (testified by his signing the same), order, direct and declare as follows:—

1. This Warrant shall be read as one with the Foreign and Colonial Parcel Post Warrant, 1921, S.R. & O., 1921, No. 1513, hereinafter called " the Principal Warrant " and any Warrant amending the same.

2. Regulation 3 (1) of the Principal Warrant is hereby repealed and the following Regulation shall have effect in substitution therefor:—

3. (1) There shall be charged and paid on outgoing parcels such rates of postage as from time to time shall be directed by the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs. Provided that such rates shall in no case exceed thirteen shillings on a parcel not exceeding eleven pounds in weight, except in the case of parcels addressed to Northern Rhodesia, to Southern Rhodesia, to Belgian Congo (via Cape Town), to Japan and China (via North America), to New Guinea, to Papua, and on parcels addressed for transmission through Japan and China (via North America), the rates of Postage on which shall not exceed twenty-one shillings.

3. This Warrant may be cited as the Foreign and Colonial Parcel Post Amendment (No. 5) Warrant, 1934.

4. This Warrant shall come into operation on the 12th day of July, 1934.
