SUPERANNUATION ACT, 1887, WARRANT (MODIFICATION) WARRANT, 1934. | ||
WHEREAS by virtue of the Workmen's Compensation Act, 1934 (Commencement) Order 1934 (Statutory Rules and Orders, No. 153 of 1934), the Workmen's Compensation Act, 1934 (No. 9 of 1934), came into operation on the 1st day of August, 1934 : | ||
AND WHEREAS it is enacted by sub-section (2) of Section 64 of the said Workmen's Compensation Act, 1934 , that the Minister for Finance may, by Warrant laid before each House of the Oireachtas, modify for the purposes of the said Act the Warrant made under Section 1 of the Superannuation Act, 1887 : | ||
NOW, THEREFORE, the Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sub-section (2) of Section 64 of the Workmen's Compensation Act, 1934 (No. 9 of 1934), and of every and any other power him in this behalf enabling, doth by Warrant order as follows :— | ||
1. This Warrant may be cited for all purposes as the Superannuation Act, 1887, Warrant (Modification) Warrant, 1934. | ||
2. The Interpretation Act, 1923 (No. 46 of 1923), applies to the interpretation of this Warrant in like manner as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of the Oireachtas. | ||
3. The Warrant made on the 16th day of September, 1887, under Section 1 of the Superannuation Act, 1887, as amended by subsequent Warrants, shall be so modified as to declare that no award shall be made thereunder in respect of any injury occurring on or after the 1st day of August, 1934, to any person or to the widow or other relative of any person employed in the Civil Service of the Government of Saorstát Eireann, who is a workman within the meaning of the Workmen's Compensation Act, 1934 (No. 9 of 1934). | ||
