CONTROL OF IMPORTS (QUOTA No. 3, SECOND PERIOD, ADDITIONAL QUOTA) ORDER, 1935. | ||
WHEREAS it is enacted by sub-section (4) of Section 6 of the Control of Imports Act, 1934 (No. 12 of 1934), that whenever the Executive Council has, by order made under that Section, appointed a quota in respect of any quota period, the Executive Council may, if they so think fit, by order made before the expiration of such quota period increase such quota by such amount (in that Act referred to as an additional quota) as they think proper : | ||
AND WHEREAS by the Control of Imports (Quota No. 3, Second Period) Order, 1934 (Statutory Rules and Orders No. 345 of 1934), made under the said Section 6 the Executive Council appointed the period beginning on the 1st day of January, 1935, and ending on the 31st day of March, 1935, to be the second quota period under the Control of Imports (Quota No. 3) Order, 1934 (Statutory Rules and Orders No. 242 of 1934), and appointed a total amounting to nine hundred and twenty-five thousand articles to which the said Control of Imports (Quota No. 3) Order, 1934, applies, to be the quota in respect of the said second quota period : | ||
NOW, the Executive Council, in exercise of the power conferred on them by sub-section (4) of Section 6 of the Control of Imports Act, 1934 (No. 12 of 1934), and of every and any other power them in this behalf enabling, do hereby order as follows :— | ||
1. This Order may be cited for all purposes as the Control of Imports (Quota No. 3, Second Period, Additional Quota) Order, 1935. | ||
2. The Interpretation Act, 1923 (No. 46 of 1923), applies to the interpretation of this Order in like manner as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of the Oireachtas. | ||
3. The quota appointed by the Control of Imports (Quota No. 3. Second Period) Order, 1934 (Statutory Rules and Orders No. 345 of 1934), in respect of the second quota period appointed by that Order is hereby increased by seventy-five thousand articles to which the Control of Imports (Quota No. 3) Order, 1934 (Statutory Rules and Orders No. 242 of 1934), applies, to the intent that the said seventy-five thousand articles shall be an additional quota in respect of the said second quota period and the total quota in respect of the said second quota period shall be one million articles to which the last-mentioned Order applies. | ||
