CONTROL OF IMPORTS (QUOTA No. 15, FOURTH PERIOD, ADDITIONAL QUOTA) ORDER, 1936. | ||
WHEREAS it is enacted by sub-section (4) of Section 6 of the Control of Imports Act, 1934 (No. 12 of 1934), that whenever the Executive Council has, by order made under that Section, appointed a quota in respect of any quota period, the Executive Council may, if they so think fit, by order made before the expiration of such quota period increase such quota by such amount (in that Act referred to as an additional quota) as they think proper : | ||
AND WHEREAS by the Control of Imports (Quota No. 15, Fourth Period) Order, 1936 (Statutory Rules and Orders, No. 54 of 1936), made under the said Section 6, the Executive Council appointed the period beginning on the 1st day of April, 1936, and ending on the 30th day of September, 1936, to be the fourth quota period under the Control of Imports (Quota No. 15) Order, 1935 (Statutory Rules and Orders, No. 65 of 1935), which relates to inner tubes for bicycle or tricycle tyres, and appointed four thousand articles to which the last-mentioned Order applies to be the quota in respect of the said fourth quota period : | ||
NOW, the Executive Council, in exercise of the power conferred on them by sub-section (4) of Section 6 of the Control of Imports Act, 1934 (No. 12 of 1934), and of every and any other power them in this behalf enabling, do hereby order as follows :— | ||
1. This Order may be cited as the Control of Imports (Quota No. 15, Fourth Period, Additional Quota) Order, 1936. | ||
2. The Interpretation Act, 1923 (No. 46 of 1923), applies to the interpretation of this Order in like manner as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of the Oireachtas. | ||
3. The Quota appointed by the Control of Imports (Quota No. 15, Fourth Period) Order, 1936, in respect of the fourth quota period appointed by that Order is hereby increased by seven thousand five hundred articles to which the Control of Imports (Quota No. 15) Order, 1935, applies, to the intent that the said seven thousand five hundred articles shall be an additional quota in respect of the said fourth quota period and the total quota in respect of the said fourth quota period shall be eleven thousand five hundred articles to which the last-mentioned Order applies. | ||
