HOUSING (NEW HOUSES) (AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1936. | ||

THE HOUSING (FINANCIAL AND MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS) ACTS, 1932 TO 1936. | ||
WHEREAS by Article 12 of the Housing (New Houses) Order, 1932, the Minister for Local Government and Public Health in exercise of the powers conferred on him by Section 14 of the Housing (Financial and Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1932 , did (inter alia) prescribe the method of measuring the floor area of houses in respect of which grants are made under Section 5 of the said Act: | ||
AND WHEREAS by reason of the amendment of the said Section 5 by Section 2 of the Housing (Financial and Miscellaneous Provisions) (Amendment) (No. 2) Act, 1936 , it is now expedient that the said method as so prescribed be varied in the manner hereinafter appearing: | ||
NOW THEREFORE, the Minister for Local Government and Public Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on him as aforesaid, by this his Order, makes the following regulations, that is to say:— | ||
1. This Order may be cited as the Housing (New Houses) (Amendment) Order, 1936. | ||
2. In this Order the expression "the Principal Order" means the Housing (New Houses) Order, 1932. | ||
3. This Order and the Principal Order shall be read as one Order and may be cited collectively as the Housing (New Houses) Orders, 1932 and 1936. | ||
4. In measuring the area of any floor of a house in an urban district in respect of which a grant is made by the Minister under paragraph (k) of sub-section (1) of Section (5) of the Housing (Financial and Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1932 , as amended by paragraph (b) of sub-section (1) of Section 2 of the Housing (Financial and Miscellaneous Provisions) (Amendment) (No. 2) Act, 1936 , no portion of such floor which is occupied by a hall, a staircase or a landing shall be included, and sub-article (2) of Article 12 of the Principal Order shall be amended accordingly. | ||
