WIDOWS' AND ORPHANS' PENSIONS (APPOINTED DAY) ORDER, 1937. | ||
The Minister for Local Government and Public Health in exercise of the powers conferred on him by Section 2 of the Widows' and Orphans' Pensions Act, 1937 , hereby orders as follows :— | ||
1. This Order may be cited for all purposes as the Widows' and Orphans' Pensions (Appointed Day) Order, 1937. | ||
2. The Interpretation Act, 1923 , shall apply to the interpretation of this Order in like manner as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of the Oireachtas. | ||
3. In this Order unless the context otherwise requires the following expressions shall have the meanings hereinafter respectively assigned to them :— | ||
" the Act " means the Widows' and Orphans' Pensions Act, 1937 ; | ||
" the Minister " means the Minister for Local Government and Public Health ; | ||
" the appointed day " means the day appointed by the Minister under Section 2 of the Act to be the appointed day for the purposes of the Act. | ||
4. The appointed day shall be the 2nd July, 1937. | ||
