SPECIAL INSPECTOR (TAXIMETER) (GRANT OF CERTIFICATE) REGULATIONS, 1937. | ||
Special Inspector (Taximeter) (Grant or Certificate) Regulations, 1937, made by the Minister for Industry and Commerce on the 21st day of May, 1937, pursuant to paragraph (b) of subsection (3) of section 136 of the Road Traffic Act, 1933 . | ||
In exercise of the powers conferred on him by paragraph (b) of subsection (3) of section 136 of the Road Traffic Act, 1933 , and of every and any other power him in this behalf enabling the Minister for Industry and Commerce hereby makes the following regulations in respect of the grant of a special inspector's certificate pursuant to the said paragraph, that is to say— | ||
1. These regulations may be cited for all purposes as the Special Inspector (Taximeter) (Grant of Certificate) Regulations, 1937. | ||
2. The Interpretation Act, 1923 , applies to the interpretation of these regulations in like manner as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of the Oireachtas. | ||
3. (a) Every member of the Gárda Síochána, a candidate for a special inspector's certificate, shall be examined by such person or persons as the Minister for Industry and Commerce may from time to time direct in accordance with such Examination Syllabus as the said Minister may from time to time approve. | ||
(b) The person or persons who have conducted any such examination shall report the results thereof to the said Minister, and shall in particular state in such report the names of the candidates who have in his or their opinion a satisfactory knowledge of the subjects mentioned in the Examination Syllabus. | ||
(c) The said Minister may on consideration of any such report grant to any candidate examined as aforesaid a special inspector's certificate in such form as such Minister thinks fit. | ||
