CUSTOMS (LAND FRONTIER) REGULATIONS, 1939.

THE CUSTOMS (LAND FRONTIER) REGULATIONS, 1939, DATED APRIL, 1939, MADE BY THE MINISTER FOR FINANCE UNDER SECTION 13 of THE ADAPTATION OF ENACTMENTS ACT, 1922 .

The Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers vested in him by Section 13 of the Adaptation of Enactments Act, 1922 , and of every other power enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Regulations amending the Customs (Land Frontier) Regulations, 1923, hereinafter referred to as the Principal Regulations and the Customs (Land Frontier) Regulations, 1924, together with the Customs (Land Frontier) Regulations, 1929, the Customs (Land Frontier) Regulations, 1937, and the Customs (Land Frontier) Regulations, 1938 :—

1. Part II of the Principal Regulations shall not apply to live cattle carried or driven to Northern Ireland.

2. As from Monday, the first day of May, nineteen hundred and thirty-nine, the Schedule to these Regulations is hereby substituted for the Schedule to the Customs (Land Frontier) Regulations, 1938.

3. These Regulations shall be construed together with and as part of the Principal Regulations and the Customs (Land Frontier) Regulations, 1924, 1929, 1937 and 1938, and may be cited as the Customs (Land Frontier) Regulations, 1939.

(b) for the exportation of goods, other than live cattle, not liable to any duty or to any prohibition on exportation ;

(c) for the importation or exportation of motor vehicles travelling on their own wheels and either empty or carrying only goods above specified, provided that the person in charge of such a motor vehicle carries with him a Customs Pass showing that no duty is payable on such vehicle on importation.
