WATERFORD PRISON CLOSING ORDER, 1939. | ||
WHEREAS it is enacted by subsection (1) of Section 2 of the Prisons Act, 1933 (No. 51 of 1933), that the Minister for Justice may by Order direct that any particular prison shall be closed as on and from a specified date : | ||
NOW, the Minister for Justice, in exercise of the power conferred upon him by subsection (1) of Section 2 of the Prisons Act, 1933 (No. 51 of 1933), and of every and any other power him in this behalf enabling, hereby orders as follows :— | ||
1. This Order may be cited as the Waterford Prison Closing Order, 1939. | ||
2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to this Order. | ||
3. The Prison at Waterford in the County Borough of Waterford shall be closed as on and from the 1st day of December, 1939. | ||
