CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT (TELEGRAPHIC CONSTRUCTION, ETC.) (EXCLUSION) REGULATIONS, 1940. | ||
WHEREAS it is enacted by sub-section (1) of section 29 of the Conditions of Employment Act, 1936 (No. 2 of 1936), that the Minister for Industry and Commerce may by order make regulations declaring any specified form of industrial work to be excluded industrial work for the purpose of all or any of the sections of Part III of the said Act : | ||
NOW, the Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 29 of the Conditions of Employment Act, 1936 (No. 2 of 1936), and having first consulted with representatives of employers and representatives of workers, pursuant to sub-section (2) of the said section 29, hereby makes the following regulations : | ||
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Conditions of Employment (Telegraphic Construction, etc.) (Exclusion) Regulations, 1940. | ||
2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to these Regulations. | ||
3. The forms of industrial work specified in the Schedule to these Regulations are hereby declared to be excluded industrial work for the purposes of Section 49 of the Conditions of Employment Act, 1936 (No. 2 of 1936). | ||

SCHEDULE. | ||
Industrial work done in or about the construction, maintenance, alteration or repair of any telegraphic or telephonic installation. | ||
Industrial work done in or about the maintenance or working of a broadcasting station maintained and worked under Part II of the Wireless Telegraphy Act, 1926 (No. 45 of 1926). | ||
