HOLIDAYS (EMPLOYEES) ACT, 1939 (SECTIONS 9 AND 10) REGULATIONS, 1946. | ||
I, SEÁN F. LEMASS, Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sub-section (5) of section 9 and sub-section (4) of section 10 of the Holidays (Employees) Act, 1939 (No. 1 of 1939), hereby make the following Regulations : | ||
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Holidays (Employees) Act, 1939 (Sections 9 and 10) Regulations, 1946. | ||
2. In these Regulations the expression " the Act of 1939 " means the Holidays (Employees) Act, 1939 (No. 1 of 1939). | ||
3. These Regulations apply to non-domestic workers who are under the age of eighteen years and are employed in mining. | ||
4. In the application of section 9 of the Act of 1939 to the workers to which these Regulations apply, the period of one hundred and twenty hours shall be substituted in sub-sections (1), (2), (3) and (4) of that section for the period of one hundred and fifty hours. | ||
5. In the application of section 10 of the Act of 1939 to the workers to which these Regulations apply, the period of fifteen hundred hours shall be substituted in sub-section (1) of that section for eighteen hundred hours, and the periods of two hundred and fifty hours and one hundred and twenty hours shall respectively be substituted in sub-section (3) for the period of three hundred hours and the several periods of one hundred and fifty hours. | ||
