STATISTICS ACTS, 1926 AND 1946 (TRANSFER OF MINISTERIAL FUNCTIONS) ORDER, 1949. |

|
The Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by subsection (1) of section 6 of the Ministers and Secretaries (Amendment) Act, 1939 (No. 36 of 1939), hereby order as follows :-- |
||
|
1.--(1) This Order may be cited as the Statistics Acts, 1926 and 1946 (Transfer of Ministerial Functions) Order, 1949. |
||
|
(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 1st day of June, 1949. |
||
|
2. The powers, duties and functions vested by the Statistics Acts, 1926 and 1946, in the Minister for Industry and Commerce are hereby transferred to the Taoiseach. |
||
|
3. In the Statistics Acts, 1926 and 1946-- |
||
|
(a) references to the Minister for Industry and Commerce shall be construed as references to the Taoiseach, and |
||
|
(b) references to the Department of Industry and Commerce shall be construed as references to the Department of the Taoiseach. |
||
|
