PENSIONS (INCREASE) (DUBLIN PORT AND DOCKS BOARD) REGULATIONS, 1951. |

The Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by Section 7 of the Pensions (Increase) Act, 1950 (No. 3 of 1950), hereby makes the following regulations :-- |

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Pensions (Increase) (Dublin Port and Docks Board) Regulations, 1951. |
||||||||||
2. In these Regulations-- |
||||||||||
the expression " the Act " means the Pensions (Increase) Act, 1950 (No. 3 of 1950); |
||||||||||
the expression " the appropriate sum " has the meaning given to it in the Act ; |
||||||||||
the expression " the harbour authority " means the Dublin Port and Docks Board ; |
||||||||||
the word " pension " means an allowance specified in Part V of the Schedule to the Act ; |
||||||||||
the expression " scheduled worker " means a person who served in any of the categories specified in the Schedule to these Regulations. |
||||||||||
3. The increase in pension which may be granted by the harbour authority under the Act in the case of a scheduled worker shall not exceed whichever of the following is the less-- |
||||||||||
(a) the appropriate sum, or |
||||||||||
(b) the amount which would bring the pension up to that which would be payable to a scheduled worker of equivalent status and service who retired on the 31st day of January, 1947. |
