CARRIAGE OF WHEAT ORDER, 1951. |

The Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by the Supplies and Services (Temporary Provisions) Act, 1946 (No. 22 of 1946), and of every and any other power them in this behalf enabling, hereby order as follows :-- |

1. This Order may be cited as the Carriage of Wheat Order, 1951. |
||
2.--(1) Where, during the period commencing on the 1st day of September, 1951, and ending on the 31st day of August, 1952, wheat is carried in the course of a merchandise road transport business by a licensed agent for a licensed mill in a vehicle owned by the agent and the wheat was purchased by the agent for the licensee of the mill, the business shall, as respects the carriage of wheat, be deemed to be authorised by a merchandise licence. |

(2) In this Article-- |
||
the expressions " merchandise road transport business " and " merchandise licence " have the same meanings as in the Road Transport Act, 1933 (No. 8 of 1933) ; |
||
the expression " licensed agent for a licensed mill " has the same meaning as in the Wheat Order, 1951. |
||
