S.I. No. 233/1953:

FEEDING STUFFS (RESTRICTION OF EXPORT) ORDER, 1953.

FEEDING STUFFS (RESTRICTION OF EXPORT) ORDER, 1953.

I, THOMAS WALSH, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 24 of the Agricultural Produce (Cereals) Act, 1938 (No. 16 of 1938), hereby order as follows:

1.--(1) This Order may be cited as the Feeding Stuffs (Restriction of Export) Order, 1953.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 1st day of July, 1953.

2. The export of any articles specified in the Schedule to this Order is hereby prohibited otherwise than under and in accordance with a licence in that behalf granted under Chapter III of Part III of the Agricultural Produce (Cereals) Act, 1938 (No. 16 of 1938).

3. This Order does not apply to--

(a) samples not exceeding 11lb. in weight which are being exported by parcel post, or

(b) articles which, being in quantities considered reasonable by an officer of Customs and Excise, are in use as fodder with livestock which are being exported.

4. The Wheat Offals (Restriction on Exportation) Order, 1934 ( S. R. & O. No. 148 of 1934 ), and the Beet Pulp (Restriction on Exportation) Order, 1934 ( S. R. & O. No. 261 of 1934 ), are hereby revoked.

SCHEDULE.

1. Linseed cake, linseed cubes, linseed nuts, linseed flakes and linseed cake meal.

2. Earth nut cake, earth nut cubes, earth nut nuts, earth nut flakes and earth nut cake meal.

3. Coconut cake, coconut cubes, coconut nuts, coconut flakes and coconut cake meal.

4. Palm kernel cake, otherwise palm nut cake, palm kernel cubes, palm kernel nuts, palm kernel flakes and palm kernel meal.

5. Cotton seed cake, cotton seed cubes, cotton seed nuts, cotton seed flakes and cotton seed meal.

6. Soya bean cake, soya bean cubes, soya bean nuts, soya bean flakes and soya bean meal.

7. Fish meal and fish meal flakes.

8. Meat meals, bone meal and meat and bone meal.

9. Steamed bone flour.

10. Wheat offals.

11. Beet pulp.

12. Brewers' and distillers' grains.

13. Malt coombs.

14. Dried yeast.

15. Fodder beet.

16. Grass meal.

17. By-products of oatmeal milling, other than unground oat hulls, husks or shudes.

18. Any mixture which is for feeding to pigs, poultry or cattle and which contains one or more of the following:

(a) wheat,

(b) barley, oats, rye or maize, whether whole or subjected to any process of grinding, crushing or flaking,

(c) hay,

(d) straw,

(e) any of the articles specified in paragraphs 1 to 17 of this Schedule.
