DEPARTMENT OF POSTS AND TELEGRAPHS. THE FOREIGN POST AMENDMENT (No. 3) WARRANT, 1954.

DEPARTMENT OF POSTS AND TELEGRAPHS. THE FOREIGN POST AMENDMENT (No. 3) WARRANT, 1954.

Dated: 5th April, 1954.

The Minister for Finance, on the representation of the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs as testified by his signature hereto, and in exercise of the powers conferred on him by the Post Office Acts, 1908 to 1951, and of every and any other power him in this behalf enabling, hereby orders as follows :--

1.--(1) This Warrant may be cited as the Foreign Post Amendment (No. 3) Warrant, 1954.

(2) This Warrant shall come into operation on the 12th day of April, 1954.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to this Warrant.

3. The entry in the Schedule to this Warrant is hereby substituted for the entry numbered 7 in the First Schedule to the Foreign Post Warrant, 1949 ( S.I. No. 267 of 1949 ), as amended.

Exceeding 5 lb. and not exceeding 8 lb., 1½d.

In roll form, length and twice diameter, 3 ft. 3 ins. ; greatest dimension, 2 ft. 8 ins.

Exceeding 8 lb. and not exceeding 11 lb., 2d.

Exceeding 11 lb. and not exceeding 15 lb., 2½d.

Minimum dimensions : Length, 4 ins. ; width, 2¾ins.
