WATERFORD HARBOUR (WATER BAILIFF'S FEES) (ABOLITION) ORDER, 1954. |

I, WILLIAM NORTON, Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 181 of the Harbours Act, 1946 (No. 9 of 1946), hereby order as follows : |
||
1. This Order may be cited as the Waterford Harbour (Water Bailiff's Fees) (Abolition) Order, 1954. |
||
2. In this Order " the Corporation " means the Mayor, Aldermen and Burgesses of Waterford. |
||
3. On and from the First day of November, 1954-- |
||
(a) the charges commonly known as water bailiff's fees chargeable at Waterford Harbour shall cease to be charged, and |
||
(b) any obligations of the Corporation (whether acquired under charter or by statute or otherwise) whereof the said fees or any part thereof were in consideration shall cease. |
||
4. The Waterford Harbour Commissioners shall, within one month after the date specified in Article 3, pay to the Corporation the sum of four thousand, five hundred pounds towards compensating the Corporation for loss sustained by them owing to the operation of that Article. |
