CITY AND COUNTY MANAGEMENT (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1955 (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1957.

The Minister for Local Government in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 24 of the City and County Management (Amendment) Act, 1955 (No. 12 of 1955) hereby orders as follows :--

1. This Order may be cited as the City and County Management (Amendment) Act, 1955 (Commencement) Order, 1957.

2. Section 23 of the City and County Management (Amendment) Act, 1955 , shall come into operation on the 1st day of July, 1957, for the purpose of effecting the repeal of sections 1 to 4 of the Local Government (Dublin) (Temporary) Act, 1948 (No. 15 of 1948).

Explanatory Note.

This Order brings into operation on 1st July, 1957, section 23 of the City and County Management (Amendment) Act, 1955 , for the purpose of effecting the repeal of sections 1 to 4 of the Local Government (Dublin) (Temporary) Act, 1948 . The remainder of this Act was repealed on 30th November, 1956 ( S.I. No. 303 of 1956 ).
