EXPLANATORY NOTE. |
The Declaration fixes the age of sixty-five years as the age limit for all offices under a vocational education committee. |
In accordance with section 24 (2) of the Local Government Act, 1955 , the Declaration affects only an officer who on retirement is entitled to a pension ; in the case of an officer who is not entitled to a pension until after he has reached the age of sixty-five, it does not become effective until he is so entitled. |
Under section 6 of the Vocational Education (Amendment) Act, 1944 , the Declaration comes into force six months after it is made. The existing age limit order for offices under a vocational education committee is then revoked. |
