SEA FISHERIES ACT, 1952 (COMMENCEMENT) (No. 3) ORDER, 1960.

I, MICHEÁL Ó MÓRÁIN, Minister for Lands, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the Sea Fisheries Act, 1952 (No. 7 of 1952), and the Fisheries (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order, 1957 ( S.I. No. 67 of 1957 ), hereby order as follows :--

1. This Order may be cited as the Sea Fisheries Act, 1952 (Commencement) (No. 3) Order, 1960.

2. The 18th day of January, 1960, is hereby fixed as the day on which Part II of the Sea Fisheries Act, 1952 (No. 7 of 1952), shall come into operation.

GIVEN under my Official Seal, this 5th day of January, 1960.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order fixes the 18th January, 1960, as the day on which certain statutory provisions for the regulation of sea-fishing come into operation including provisions for the licensing of fishing vessels exceeding the over all length of 75 feet prescribed by S.I. No. 4 of 1960 .
