CONTROL OF IMPORTS (QUOTA No. 45) (COTTON PIECE GOODS) (AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1960. |

The Government in exercise of the powers conferred on them by the Control of Imports Acts, 1934 and 1937, hereby order as follows : |
||
|
1. This Order may be cited as the Control of Imports (Quota No. 45) (Cotton Piece Goods) (Amendment) Order, 1960. |
||
|
2. This Order shall come into operation on the 13th day of May, 1960. |
||
|
3. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to this Order. |
||
|
4. The Control of Imports (Quota No. 45) Order, 1949 ( S.I. No. 330 of 1949 ), is hereby amended by the insertion in paragraph 5 of Part II of the Schedule thereto after " piece goods " of " (other than towelling) ". |
||

EXPLANATORY NOTE. |
||
|
This Order removes an exemption in Quota Order No. 45 for towelling less than twelve inches in width. |
