CORK HEALTH AUTHORITY AREA (REGISTRARS' DISTRICTS) ORDER, 1961.

CORK HEALTH AUTHORITY AREA (REGISTRARS' DISTRICTS) ORDER, 1961.

I, PÁDRAIG Ó CINNÉIDE, an tArd-Chláraitheoir, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by Section 18 of the Registration of Births and Deaths (Ireland) Act, 1863, and section 8 of the Registration of Marriages (Ireland) Act, 1863, hereby order as follows :--

1. This Order may be cited as the Cork Health Authority Area (Registrars' Districts) Order, 1961.

2. The area of the Registration Districts of Cobh No. 1 and of Cobh No. 2 specified in the first column of the Schedule hereto shall consist of the area described opposite thereto in the second column of the said Schedule.

3. In the Schedule to this Order--

(a) A reference to a road, street, lane or square shall be construed as a reference to the centre line of such road, street, lane or square and a reference to West View shall be construed as a reference to the centre line of West View;

(b) A reference to the urban district boundary means the existing boundary of the Urban District of Cobh.

4. This Order shall come into operation on the 29th day of April, nineteen hundred and sixty-one.

SCHEDULE.

Registrar's District

Area

Cobh No. 1

That part of Cobh Island which lies to the east of a line drawn from the point of intersection of the urban district boundary and a line drawn due south from the south west corner of the Cobh General Post Office, thence due north along the said line to the south west corner of the said General Post Office, thence in a north westerly direction along the western wall of the said General Post Office and along the imaginary north westerly projection of the western face of the said western wall to the centre of Roger Casement Square, thence in a northerly direction along Roger Casement Square and West View to Park Lane, thence in an easterly direction along the said Park Lane to Midleton Street, thence northwards along Midleton Street and along the road which is a continuation of Midleton Street in northerly and north westerly directions successively through Cow Cross Roads and Corcoran's Cross Roads to Lissanisky Cross Roads and thence northwards along the road from Lissanisky Cross Roads to Belvelly Castle to the northern shore of Cobh Island at the north eastern corner of Belvelly Castle.

Cobh No. 2

(a) Foaty Island, Spike Island, Rocky Island and Haulbowline Island.

(b) That part of Cobh Island which lies to the west of a line drawn from the point of intersection of the urban district boundary and a line drawn due south from the south west corner of the Cobh General Post Office, thence due north along the said line to the south west corner of the said General Post Office, thence in a north westerly direction along the western wall of the said General Post Office and along the imaginary north westerly projection of the western face of the said western wall to the centre of Roger Casement Square, thence in a northerly direction along Roger Casement Square and West View to Park Lane, thence in an easterly direction along the said Park Lane to Midleton Street, thence northwards along Midleton Street and along the road which is a continuation of Midleton Street in northerly and north-westerly directions successively through Cow Cross Roads and Corcoran's Cross Roads to Lissanisky Cross Roads and thence northwards along the road from Lissanisky Cross Roads to Belvelly Castle to the northern shore of Cobh Island at the north eastern corner of Belvelly Castle.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of this Order is to vary the boundaries of the Registrars' Districts of Cobh No. 1 and Cobh No. 2 so as to make these boundaries co-terminous with the boundaries of Cobh No. 1 Dispensary District and Cobh No. 2 Dispensary District as determined by the Cork Health Authority (Dispensary Districts) Order, 1961 ( S.I. No. 63 of 1961 ).
