POISONS ACT, 1961 (DATE OF COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1961. |

The Minister for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 22 of the Poisons Act, 1961 (No. 12 of 1961), hereby orders as follows :-- |
||
|
1. This Order may be cited as the Poisons Act, 1961 (Date of Commencement) Order, 1961. |
||
|
2. Sections 1 to 20 and Section 22 of the Poisons Act, 1961 , shall come into operation on the 26th day of June, 1961. |
||
|
GIVEN under the Official Seal of the Minister for Health this sixteenth day of June One Thousand Nine Hundred and Sixty-one. |

EXPLANATORY NOTE. |
||
|
This Order will bring the Poisons Act, 1961 , into operation as from 26th June, 1961, with the exception of Section 21 and the Schedule, under which existing poisons legislation will be repealed. It is intended that this legislation will continue in operation until regulations have been made under the Act to replace it. |
