I, SÉAMAS Ó RIAIN, Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by subsection (2) of section 7 of the Stock Transfer Act, 1963 (No. 34 of 1963), hereby order as follows:--

1. This Order may be cited as the Stock Transfer Act, 1963 (Commencement) Order, 1964.

2. The 13th day of January, 1964, is hereby appointed as the day on which the Stock Transfer Act, 1963 , shall come into operation.

GIVEN under my Official Seal, this 8th day of January, 1964.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order brings into force on 13th January, 1964, the provisions of the Stock Transfer Act, 1963 . The main purpose of the Act is to simplify the procedure for transferring registered securities.
