COMMITTEES OF AGRICULTURE (ALLOWANCES TO MEMBERS)(AMENDMENT) RULES, 1964.

I, PATRICK SMITH, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the Agriculture (Amendment)Act, 1948 (No. 24 of 1948), as amended by section 7 of the Agriculture (Amendment) Act, 1958 (No. 17 of 1958), hereby make the following rules :

1.--(1) These Rules may be cited as the Committees of Agriculture (Allowances to Members)(Amendment) Rules, 1964.

(2) The Committees of Agriculture(Allowances to Members) Rules, 1959 ( S.I. No. 100 of 1959 ), and these Rules may be cited together as the Committees of Agriculture(Allowances to Members) Rules, 1959 and 1964.

2. The Committees of Agriculture(Allowances to Members) Rules, 1959, shall be amended as follows:

(a) in Rule 2 " fifteen shillings " and" twenty-five shillings " are hereby substituted for " four shillings and sixpence " and " seven shillings " respectively;

(b) in Rule 3 " twenty shillings " is hereby substituted for " thirteen shillings and sixpence ".

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

These Rules prescribe the amount of the allowances payable to members of Committees of Agriculture in respect of attendance at meetings of the Committee or of an approved sub-Committee.
