HARBOUR RATES (DROGHEDA HARBOUR) ORDER, 1966.

HARBOUR RATES (DROGHEDA HARBOUR) ORDER, 1966.

I, ERSKINE H. CHILDERS, Minister for Transport and Power, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 104 of the Harbours Act, 1946 (No. 9 of 1946), and the Transport, Fuel and Power (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order, 1959 ( S.I. No. 125 of 1959 ), and after due compliance with section 106 of the said Act, hereby order as follows :

1. (1) This Order may be cited as the Harbour Rates (Drogheda Harbour) Order, 1966.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 26th day of April, 1966.

2. In this Order " the Principal Order " means the Harbour Rates (Drogheda Harbour) Order, 1947 ( S. R. & O. No. 228 of 1947 ).

3. The Principal Order shall have effect as if--

(a) the following were substituted for the First Schedule :

4. Where a rate specified at reference number 15 in the First Schedule (inserted by this Order) to the Principal Order is chargeable on any goods, no other rate specified in that Schedule shall be charged on those goods.

5. The following are hereby revoked :--

(a) Article 2 of the Harbour Rates (Drogheda Harbour) Order, 1947 (Amendment) Order, 1957 ( S.I. No. 156 of 1957 ),

(b) the Harbour Rates (Drogheda Harbour) Order, 1947 (Amendment) Order, 1959 ( S.I. No. 138 of 1959 ),

(c) the Harbour Rates (Drogheda Harbour) Order, 1961 ( S.I. No. 227 of 1961 ).

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of this Order is to authorise the Drogheda Harbour Commissioners to charge revised maximum goods and tonnage rates, and to introduce a new service charge at the Port of Drogheda.
