STOCK TRANSFER (RECOGNITION OF STOCK EXCHANGES) REGULATIONS, 1966.

I, JOHN LYNCH, Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 1 of the Stock Transfer Act, 1963 (No. 34 of 1963), hereby make the following regulations :

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Stock Transfer (Recognition of Stock Exchanges) Regulations, 1966, and shall come into operation on the 11th day of November, 1966.

2. Each of the stock exchanges specified in the Schedule to these Regulations is hereby declared to be a recognised stock exchange for the purposes of the Stock Transfer Act, 1963 .

3. The Stock Transfer (Recognition of Stock Exchanges) Regulations, 1965 ( S.I. No. 191 of 1965 ), are hereby revoked.

SCHEDULE.

Belfast Stock Exchange.

Greenock Stock Exchange.

London Stock Exchange.

Midlands and Western Stock Exchange.

Northern Stock Exchange.

Scottish Stock Exchange.

The Provincial Brokers Stock Exchange.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

These Regulations declare certain stock exchanges to be recognised stock exchanges for the purposes of the Stock Transfer Act, 1963 , and revoke the Stock Transfer (Recognition of Stock Exchanges) Regulations, 1965 ( S.I. No. 191 of 1965 ).
