HARBOUR RATES (NEW ROSS HARBOUR) ORDER, 1966. |

I, ERSKINE H. CHILDERS, Minister for Transport and Power, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 104 of the Harbours Act, 1946 (No. 9 of 1946) and the Transport, Fuel and Power (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order, 1959 ( S.I. No. 125 of 1959 ), and after due compliance with section 106 of the said Act, hereby order as follows : |

1. This Order may be cited as the Harbour Rates (New Ross Harbour) Order, 1966. |
||
2. This Order shall come into operation on the 4th day of January, 1967. |
||
3. The rate of sixpence per ton is hereby fixed as the rate to be charged by the New Ross Harbour Commissioners in respect of any goods in containers, flats or trailers imported to or exported from New Ross Harbour and the said rate shall be in substitution for the rates specified in respect of those goods in the First Schedule to the Harbour Rates (New Ross Harbour) Order, 1949 ( S.I. No. 230 of 1949 ). |

4. The rate of sixpence per ton is hereby fixed as the rate to be charged by the said New Ross Harbour Commissioners in respect of returned empties (including containers, flats, trailers, casks, barrels, kegs, crates, boxes, cases, cribs, tins and hampers) imported to or exported from New Ross Harbour and the said rate shall be in substitution for the rates specified in respect of those articles in the said First Schedule. |

EXPLANATORY NOTE. |
||
The effect of this Order is to authorise the New Ross Harbour Commissioners to charge specified rates for containers and goods carried in containers imported to or exported from New Ross Harbour. |
