VOCATIONAL EDUCATION ACT, 1930 (GRANTS UNDER SECTION 109) REGULATIONS, 1939 (AMENDMENT) (NO. 2) REGULATIONS, 1973.

I, RICHARD BURKE, Minister for Education, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by Section 109 of the Vocational Education Act, 1930 (No. 29 of 1930), hereby, with the consent of the Minister for Finance, make the following Regulations:--

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Vocational Education Act, 1930 (Grants under Section 109) Regulations, 1939 (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations, 1973.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to these Regulations.

3. (1) In these Regulations "the Principal Regulations" means the Vocational Education Act, 1930 (Grants under Section 109) Regulations, 1939 (S. R. & O., No. 386 of 1939).

(2) The Principal Regulations and these Regulations shall be construed together as one.

4. (1) A grant, of such amount as the Minister thinks fit, towards the cost of providing new equipment, may be made under section 109 of the Vocational Education Act, 1930 (No. 29 of 1930), to a school which is in receipt of maintenance grants under Part III of the Principal Regulations.

(2) A grant under paragraph (1) of this Regulation shall be paid in such manner as the Minister thinks fit.

(3) This Regulation shall remain in operation until the 31st day of March, 1974, and shall then cease to have effect unless previously revoked or continued by the Minister.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

These regulations provide that a grant may be made on or before the 31st March, 1974, towards the cost of providing new equipment to a school which is in receipt of maintenance grants under section 109 of the Vocational Education Act, 1930 .
