S.I. No. 51/1974:

DONEGAL COUNTY COUNCIL (AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1974.

The Minister for Local Government in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 33 (7) of the Local Government Act, 1941 (No. 23 of 1941), hereby orders as follows:--

1. (1) This Order may be cited as the Donegal County Council (Amendment) Order, 1974.

(2) This Order and the Donegal County Council Order, 1942 may be cited collectively as the Donegal County Council Orders, 1942 and 1974.

2. The Donegal County Council (Amendment) Order, 1945, and the Donegal County Council (Amendment) Order, 1950 ( S.I. No. 214 of 1950 ) are hereby revoked.

3. (1) The county of Donegal shall be divided into the county electoral areas named in the first column of the Schedule to this Order.

(2) Every such county electoral area shall consist of the places set forth in the second column of the Schedule to this Order opposite the name of such county electoral area.

(3) The number of members of the Council of the County of Donegal to be elected for each such county electoral area shall be the number set forth in the third column of the Schedule to this Order opposite the name of such county electoral area.

4. Every reference in the Schedule to this Order to a district electoral division, urban district or townland shall be construed as a reference to such district electoral division, urban district or townland as existing at the date of this Order and every reference to a former rural district shall be construed as a reference to that district as constituted immediately before the 1st day of October, 1925.

Donegal	The District Electoral Divisions of:-- Ballintra (in the former rural district of Ballyshannon), Ballintra (in the former rural district of Donegal), Ballyshannon Rural, Ballyshannon Urban, Binbane, Bonnyglen, Bundoran Rural, Carrickboy, Cavangarden, Cliff, Clogher, Corkermore, Crowkeeragh, Crownarad, Donegal, Dunkineely, Eanymore, Glencolumbkille, Grousehall, Haugh, Inver, Kilcar, Kilgoly, Killybegs, Laghy, Largymore, Lough Eask, Malinbeg, Pettigoe, Tantallon, Tawnawully, Templecarn, Tieveskeelta, Tullynaught ;	6
	the townlands of:-- Carrickatlieve Glebe in the District Electoral Division of Ardara;
	Doobin in the District Electoral Division of Glenties; and the Urban District of Bundoran.
