The Minister for Local Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 3 of the Building Societies Act, 1976 (No. 38 of 1976), hereby orders as follows:-- |
||
|
1. This Order may be cited as the Building Societies Act, 1976 (Commencement) Order, 1977. |
||
|
2. On the 2nd day of May, 1977, the Building Societies Act, 1976 , shall come into operation. |
||
|

EXPLANATORY NOTE. |
||
|
This Order brings the provisions of the Building Societies Act, 1976 (No. 38 of 1976) (which provide for the consolidation with amendments of the existing statutory provisions relating to building societies) into operation on 2nd May, 1977. |
