DISEASES OF ANIMALS ACT, 1966 (FIRST SCHEDULE) (AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1977.

I, JAMES GIBBONS, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 3 and 11 of the Diseases of Animals Act, 1966 , (No. 6 of 1966) as adapted by the Agriculture and Fisheries (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1977 ( S.I. No. 31 of 1977 ), hereby order as follows:

1. (1) This Order may be cited as the Diseases of Animals Act, 1966 (First Schedule) (Amendment) Order, 1977.

(2) The Diseases of Animals Act, 1966 (First Schedule) (Amendment) Orders, 1968 to 1975, and this Order may be cited together as the Diseases of Animals Act, 1966 (First Schedule) (Amendment) Orders, 1968 to 1977.

2. For the purpose of extending the application of sections 12 , 13 , 14 , 15 , 17 , 18 , 27 , 42 , 45 , 47 and 58 of the Diseases of Animals Act, 1966 (No. 6 of 1966), the First Schedule to that Act (as amended by the Diseases of Animals Act, 1966 (First Schedule) (Amendment) Orders, 1968 to 1975) is hereby amended by the insertion in Part III thereof at the end of Class A of the following :

"22. Bovine Leukosis".

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order extends the definition of "disease" in the Diseases of Animals Act, 1966 to include Bovine Leukosis.
