SAVINGS CERTIFICATES (NINTH ISSUE) (AMENDMENT) RULES, 1978. |

I, SEOIRSE Ó COLLA, Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 30 (2) of the Finance Act, 1940 (No. 14 of 1940), hereby make the following rules: |
||
1. (1) These Rules may be cited as the Savings Certificates (Ninth Issue (Amendment) Rules, 1978. |
||
(2) The Savings Certificates (Ninth Issue) Rules, 1973 ( S.I. No. 291 of 1973 ), and these Rules may be cited together as the Savings Certificates (Ninth Issue) Rules, 1973 and 1978. |
||
2. These Rules shall come into operation on the 2nd day of February, 1978. |
||
3. Rule 5 of the Savings Certificates (Ninth Issue) Rules, 1973, shall have effect as if "£7,500" were substituted for "£5,000". |
||

EXPLANATORY NOTE. |
||
The purpose of these Rules is to increase the maximum holding of the ninth issue of savings certificates from £5,000 to £7,500 from 2 February, 1978. |
