PROTECTION OF YOUNG PERSONS (EMPLOYMENT) (SECTION 4) ORDER, 1979.

PROTECTION OF YOUNG PERSONS (EMPLOYMENT) (SECTION 4) ORDER, 1979.

I, GENE FITZGERALD, Minister for Labour, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 4 (5) of the Protection of Young Persons (Employment) Act, 1977 (No. 9 of 1977), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Protection of Young Persons (Employment) (Section 4) Order, 1979.

2. This Order shall come into operation on the 4th day of July, 1979.

3. Section 4 (3) of the Protection of Young Persons (Employment) Act, 1977 (No. 9 of 1977), shall continue in force for the period of 12 months commencing on the commencement of this Order.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order provides that Section 4 (3) of the Protection of Young Persons (Employment) Act, 1977 , which governs the hours of work of children under 15, but over 14 years of age, shall remain in force for a period not exceeding twelve months from the date of commencement of the Order.
