SUPERANNUATION (DESIGNATION OF APPROVED ORGANISATIONS) REGULATIONS, 1979.

I, RAY MACSHARRRY, Minister of State at the Department of the Public Service, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 4 (1) of the Superannuation and Pensions Act, 1963 (No. 24 of 1963), the Public Service (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order, 1973 ( S.I. No. 294 of 1973 ), and the Public Service (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) Order, 1978 ( S.I. No. 117 of 1978 ), hereby make the following regulations:

1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Superannuation (Designation of Approved Organisations) Regulations, 1979.

(2) The Superannuation (Designation of Approved Organisations) Regulations, 1964 to 1978, and these Regulations, may be cited together as the Superannuation (Designation of Approved Organisations) Regulations, 1964 to 1979.

2. The organisations set out in the Schedule to these Regulations are hereby designated as approved organisations for the purposes of section 4 of the Superannuation and Pensions Act, 1963 (No. 24 of 1963).

The Cork District Milk Board

Council for Education, Recruitment and Training for the Hotel, Catering and Tourism Industries (CERT)

An Coláiste Náisiúnta Ealaíne is Deartha

Galway Harbour Commissioners

Galway Pilotage Authority

The Institute of Public Administration

Institiúid Teangeolaíochta Éireann

The Law Reform Commission

The National Board for Science and Technology

St. Angela's Training College of Home Economics, Lough Gill, Sligo

St. Catherine's Training College of Home Economics, Sion Hill, Blackrock, Co. Dublin

Schools, service in which is pensionable in accordance with the contributory pension scheme for full-time non-teaching employees serving on the staffs of Comprehensive and Community Schools under the control of the Minister for Education

Schools, service in which is pensionable in accordance with the Contributory Superannuation Scheme for Members of Staff in Special Schools under the Department of Education

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

Section 4 of the Superannuation and Pensions Act, 1963 , provides for the transfer of pensionable service in the case of staff transfers between the Civil Service and "approved organisations" and between one "approved organisation" and another. These regulations designate the organisations set out in the schedule as "approved organisations".
