CUSTOMS-FREE AIRPORT (CUSTOMS AND EXCISE) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1981.

I, JOHN BRUTON, Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 12 of the Customs-free Airport Act, 1947 ( No. 5 of 1947 ), hereby make the following Regulations:-

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Customs-free Airport (Customs and Excise) (Amendment) Regulations, 1981.

2. The Customs-free Airport (Customs and Excise) Regulations, 1947 ( S.I. No. 137 of 1947 ), are hereby amended by the substitution of the following schedule for the First Schedule:

“FIRST SCHEDULE

Approved places on limits of airport and Customs Stations.

Place

Customs Station

Main entrance to and exit from the airport on the public road leading to the Terminal Building.

Customs Office at the main entrance to and exit from the airport.

Main entrance to and exit from the Industrial Estate on the public road giving access thereto.

Customs Office at the main entrance to and exit from the Industrial Estate.

Entrance to import bond area in the Aer Lingus Freight Terminal.

Customs Office in The Freight Terminal.

Export Cargo entrance to the load assembly and sorting area in the Aer Lingus Freight Terminal.

Doorway to Customs Hall from the ramp at the east end of Pier Building.

Customs Office in the Terminal Building.

Stairway to the Customs Hall from the first floor of the Pier Building.

Lift entrance to the Customs Hall from the first floor of the Pier Building.

Two doorways between the floor area comprising the Public Lounge and Bar and the floor area comprising the Duty-free Shop and Lounge on the first floor of the Pier Building.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

(This note is not part of the Instrument and does not purport to be a legal interpretation.)

The effect of these Regulations is to amend the Customs-free Airport (Customs and Excise) Regulations, 1947 by substituting for the list of places and related Customs Stations hitherto approved for the movement of persons, vehicles and goods into or out of the airport the list contained in these Regulations.
