I, PADDY O'TOOLE, Minister for Fisheries and Forestry, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 4 of the Fisheries (Consolidation) Act, 1959 (No. 14 of 1959), section 26 of the Fisheries Act, 1980 (No. 1 of 1980), and the Fisheries (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order, 1977 ( S.I. No. 30 of 1977 ) (as adapted by the Fisheries (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1978 ( S.I. No. 195 of 1978 )), hereby make the following regulations:

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Fisheries Act, 1980 (Section 26) Regulations, 1983.

2. These Regulations shall come into operation on the 14th day of March, 1983.

3. Every instrument which is an instrument of appointment referred to in section 26 of the Fisheries Act, 1980 (No. 1 of 1980), shall be prepared and printed in the form set out in the Schedule to these Regulations.

Fisheries (Consolidation) Act, 1959 (Part XVIII)

1 Name of Central or Regional Board concerned.

Appointment of Authorised Person.

The ............................................................ ............................................................ ........................ 1 Fisheries Board hereby appoints ............................................................ ................................ 2 to be an authorised person for the purposes of Part XVIII of the Fisheries (Consolidation) Act, 1959 (No. 14 of 1959).

This appointment shall be valid during the period commencing on the     day of      19  and ending on the       day of   19  . (a)

1 Name of Central or Regional Board concerned.

2 Name of person to whom appointment relates.

(a) When it is not intended to specify the period or term of validity of the appointment, this provision is not to be included.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

These Regulations prescribe the instrument of appointment by the Central Fisheries Board or a Regional Fisheries Board of an officer or other person to be an authorised person for the purposes of Part XVIII of the Fisheries (Consolidation) Act, 1959 .
