URBAN RENEWAL ACT, 1986 (DESIGNATED AREAS) (No. 2) ORDER, 1988.

URBAN RENEWAL ACT, 1986 (DESIGNATED AREAS) (No. 2) ORDER, 1988.

The Minister for the Environment, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 6 (2) of the Urban Renewal Act, 1986 (No. 19 of 1986), hereby orders as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Urban Renewal Act, 1986 (Designated Areas) (No. 2) Order, 1988.

2. The areas described in Part II of the schedule to this Order is hereby declared to be a designated area for the purposes of the Urban Renewal Act, 1986 .

SCHEDULE

PART I

In this Schedule--

"thoroughfare" includes any bridge, by-pass, road or route;

a reference to a line drawn along any thoroughfare is a reference to a line drawn along the centre of that thoroughfare;

a reference to the point where any thoroughfare intersects or joins any other thoroughfare is a reference to the point where a line drawn along the centre of one thoroughfare would be intersected or joined by a line drawn along the centre of the other thoroughfare;

a reference to a point where any thoroughfare intersects or joins a boundary or the projection of a boundary is a reference to the point where a line drawn along the centre of such thoroughfare would intersect or join such boundary or projection of such boundary.

PART II

Description of Designated Area in Tallaght

That part of the administrative county of Dublin bounded by a line commencing at the point (hereafter in this description referred to as the first-mentioned point) where Blessington Road joins Tallaght By-Pass, then continuing in an easterly direction along Tallaght By-Pass to the point where that By-Pass joins Belgard Road, then continuing in a northerly direction along Belgard Road to the point where that road is intersected by the westerly projection of the southern boundary of the area identified as 'Sports Ground' on Ordnance Survey Map 3390-12, then continuing in an easterly direction along that projection and boundary, along the northern boundary of No. 45 Westpark and the northern and eastern boundaries of No. 15 Westpark to the point where the said eastern boundary is intersected by the westerly projection of the northern boundary of No. 1 Westpark, then continuing in an easterly direction along the last-mentioned projection and boundary to the end of the said northern boundary of No. 1 Westpark, then continuing in a southerly direction along the eastern boundaries of No. 1 to 14 Westpark to the point where the eastern boundary of No. 14 Westpark joins the southern boundary of No. 14 Westpark, then continuing in a westerly direction along the last mentioned boundary to the point where this is intersected by the northerly projection of the eastern boundary of No. 46A Westpark, then continuing in a southerly direction along the last mentioned projection and boundary, along the boundary to the rear of Nos. 46A to 49 Westpark, the boundary to the rear of Nos. 53 to 55 Westpark and the southerly projection thereof to the point where this projection is intersected by Tallaght By-Pass, then continuing in an easterly direction along Tallaght By-Pass to the point where that By-Pass is intersected by the southerly projection of the western boundary of Irish Metals and Chemicals Co. Ltd., then continuing in a northerly direction along that projection and boundary to the point where that boundary joins Tallaght Road, then continuing initially in a westerly direction along Tallaght Road and Blessington Road to the point where the last mentioned road intersects Belgard Road, then continuing in a northerly direction along Belgard Road to the point where that road is intersected by the easterly projection of the southern boundary of the Reckitt and Colman premises, then continuing in a westerly direction along the last mentioned projection for a distance of 245 metres, then continuing in a southerly direction parallel to the Belgard Road as far as the centre of the Blessington Road, then continuing in a westerly direction along the Blessington Road to the first-mentioned point.
