DUBLIN APPOINTED STANDS (STREET SERVICE VEHICLES) (AMENDMENT) BYE-LAWS, 1989.

DUBLIN APPOINTED STANDS (STREET SERVICE VEHICLES) (AMENDMENT) BYE-LAWS, 1989.

I, EUGENE C. CROWLEY, Commissioner of the Garda Sióchána, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 84 (as amended by section 6 of the Road Traffic Act, 1968 (No. 25 of 1968)) of the Road Traffic Act, 1961 (No. 25 of 1961), with the consent of the Minister for the Environment and after consultation with the Right Honourable the Lord Mayor, Alderman and Burgesses of Dublin, the council of the county of Dublin and the Corporation of Dun Laoghaire, hereby make the following bye-laws, in respect of the area to which the Dublin Appointed Stands (Street Service Vehicles) Bye-Laws, 1986 ( S.I. No. 104 of 1986 ), relate:

Citation.

1. (1) These bye-laws may be cited as the Dublin Appointed Stands (Street Service Vehicles) (Amendment Bye-Laws, 1989, and shall come into operation on the 22nd day of March, 1989.

(2) The Dublin Appointed Stands (Street Service Vehicles) Bye-Laws, 1986 ( S.I. No. 104 of 1986 ), and these bye-laws may be cited together as the Dublin Appointed Stands (Street Service Vehicles) Bye-Laws, 1986 to 1989.

Amendment.

2. The Dublin Appointed (Street Service Vehicles) Bye-Laws, 1986, are hereby amended--

(a) in the First Schedule thereto, by the substitution for reference number 38 in column (1) and the matters opposite that reference number in columns (2). (3), (4) and (5) of the reference numbers set out in column (1) of Schedule A to these bye-laws and the matters set out opposite each of those references numbers respectively at columns (2), (3), (4) and (5) of Schedule A;

(b) in the Third Schedule thereto, by the insertion after reference number 4 in column (1) and the matters opposite that reference number in columns (2) and (3) of the reference numbers set out in column (1) of Schedule B to these bye-laws and the matters set out opposite each of those reference numbers respectively at columns (2) and (3) of Schedule B.

38F Lower Abbey Street On the south side of the roadway from a point 13 metres east of eastern building line of Harbour Court eastwards for a distance of 32 metres. 6 In single line by the kerb and parallel thereto facing westwards.
38G Lower Abbey Street On the south side of roadway from a point 9.5 metres west of western building line of Marlborough Street westwards for a distance of 14.4 metres. 3 In single line by the kerb and parallel thereto facing westwards.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

These bye-laws provide for the removal of twenty four appointed stands from O'Connell Street and provide thirty four alternative stands at Middle and Lower Abbey Street and Sackville Place.
