HEALTH SERVICES REGULATIONS, 1990.

The Minister for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 5 of the Health Act, 1947 (No. 28 of 1947) and sections 59 and 72 of the Health Act, 1970 (No. 1 of 1970) hereby makes the following Regulations:--

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Health Services Regulations, 1990.

2. These Regulations shall come into operation on the 1st day of January 1991.

3. Article 6 of the Health Services Regulations, 1972 ( S.I. No. 88 of 1972 ) as substituted by the Health Services (No. 2) Regulations, 1983 ( S.I. No. 389 of 1983 ) is hereby amended by the substitution of "£32" for "£28" wherever that sum occurs.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

These regulations provide for the refund of the amount by which expenditure incurred after 1st January, 1991 on prescribed drugs, medicines and medical and surgical appliances exceeds £32 in respect of any month.
