I, RAY BURKE, Minister for Justice, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 10 (1) and 31 of the Video Recordings Act, 1989 (No. 22 of 1989), hereby make the following Regulations:

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Video Recordings Act, 1989 (Appeals) Regulations, 1991.

2. An appeal under section 10 (1) of the Video Recordings Act, 1989 (No. 22 of 1989), shall be brought by giving a notice in the form specified in the Schedule to these Regulations or in a form to the like effect to the Censorship of Films Appeal Board and, if the video work to which the prohibition order relates has not been the subject of an application by the appellant for a supply certificate, the notice shall be accompanied by a video recording of that work.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

These Regulations prescribe the manner of appeal under section 10 (1) of the Video Recordings Act, 1989 against a prohibition order.
