AIR SERVICES AUTHORISATION (AMENDMENT) (NO. 2) ORDER, 1992.

AIR SERVICES AUTHORISATION (AMENDMENT) (NO. 2) ORDER, 1992.

I, MÁIRE GEOGHEGAN-QUINN, Minister for Tourism, Transport and Communications, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 7 of the Air Navigation and Transport Act, 1965 (No. 6 of 1955), and the Communications (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) (No. 2) Order, 1987 ( S.I. No. 92 of 1987 ), and the Tourism and Transport (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1991 ( S.I. No. 25 of 1991 ), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Air Services Authorisation (Amendment) (No. 2) Order, 1992.

2. Article 3 (inserted by Article 2 of the Air Services Authorisation (Amendment) Order, 1976 ( S.I. No. 201 of 1976 )) of the Air Services Authorisation Order, 1966 ( S.I. No. 95 of 1966 ), is hereby amended by the insertion after Article 3 of the following Article:--

"3B. This Order shall not apply to any aircraft taking off from, landing in or flying over the territory of the State if the aircraft is destined to land in or has taken off from the territory of the Republics of Serbia and Montenegro unless the particular flight has been approved, for humanitarian or other purposes consistent with the relevant resolutions of the United Nations Security Council, by the Committee established by Security Council Resolution 724 (1991).

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The purpose of this Instrument is to enable the Minister to give effect to EC Council Regulation No. 1432/92 of 1 June, 1992 on the prohibition of trade between the European Economic Community and the Republics of Serbia and Montenegro as it applies to civil aviation.
