In exercise of the powers conferred on the Minister for Social Welfare by section 7 (8) of the Combat Poverty Agency Act, 1986 (No. 14 of 1986) which said powers are delegated to me by the Social Welfare (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) Order, 1993 ( S.I. No. 105 of 1993 ) I, JOAN BURTON, Minister of State at the Department of Social Welfare hereby make the following Regulations:-- |

| Citation. | ||

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Combat Poverty Agency (Membership) Regulations, 1993. |
||
| Number of members. | ||
|
2. The maximum number of members of the Combat Poverty Agency specified in section 7 (1) of the Combat Agency Act, 1986 as varied by the Combat Poverty Agency (Membership) Regulations, 1989 ( S.I. No. 278 of 1989 ) is hereby further varied by the substitution of "sixteen" for "twelve". |

EXPLANATORY NOTE. |
||
|
These Regulations provide for an increase in the membership of the Board of the Combat Poverty Agency from 12 to 16. |
