COMPTROLLER AND AUDITOR GENERAL (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1993, ORDER, 1994.

I, BERTIE AHERN, Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 14 (1) of the Comptroller and Auditor General (Amendment) Act, 1993 (No. 8 of 1993), hereby order as follows:

1. (1) This Order may be cited as the Comptroller and Auditor General (Amendment) Act, 1993 , Order, 1994.

(2) This Order shall be deemed to have come into operation on the 1st day of April, 1994.

2. The annual rate of remuneration of the Comptroller and Auditor General shall, with effect from the 1st day of April, 1994, be £70,744.

3. The Comptroller and Auditor General (Amendment) Act, 1993 , (No. 2) Order, 1993 ( S.I. No. 318 of 1993 ), is hereby revoked.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order revises the salary of the Comptroller and Auditor General in line with recommendations of the Review Body on Higher Remuneration in the Public Sector.
